C.V. Raghu is the Group General Counsel (Global Responsibility) for the Motherson Group and drives their legal, secretarial, regulatory, compliance and governance processes across the globe. The Motherson Group is one of the world’s fastest growing automotive component makers and is one of the most admired automotive brands. The Group supplies specialised auto parts to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across 42 countries through over 240 legal entities and over 350 units.
He has a rich and varied experience of nearly three decades in the legal domain that encompasses a diverse set of industries including large business conglomerates like the Max Group, American Express and Hindustan Unilever, and has also been nominated and recognised various times in the list of Top 100 General Counsels released by BW Legal World. He also attended “The Bourse Course” – a seven-day intensive course on Treasury, Forex dealings and Money Markets leading to certification by Regional Treasury, American Express Int’l Inc. Singapore.
C.V. Raghu is one of the founding members of GCAI. His contribution and presence have been very important in forming its vision of advocating for the statutory recognition of the in-house legal profession, as well as mentoring general counsels in the formative years of their careers.
