Shukla Wassan is a founding member of GCAI and the independent director of several Indian companies, an internationally accredited Arbitrator and Mediator, and also a mentor and coach to various general counsels and vice presidents.
During her corporate legal career spanning three decades, Shukla has been a Member of the senior management at Reckitt Benckiser, Xerox India, and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Her wide-ranging areas of expertise include joint ventures, acquisition & re-franchising, strategic alliances, intellectual property, indirect taxation, competition law, arbitration, corporate governance, POSH, environment & sustainability, and corporate social responsibilities.
She is a member of various committees like CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, and Institute of Company Secretaries, and has received several national and international awards. She brings a very diverse and rich corporate and board experience, making her a formidable voice in the enhancement and development of general counsels in India.
